David Reyes-Gonzalez, 26, was shot and later died from his injuries after an attack on the night of August 27, 2017, in Cathedral City, California. Officers found him unconscious but breathing in the passenger seat of a vehicle parked outside The Outpost Market on Ramon Road at about 10:49 p.m.; he was taken to a nearby hospital and subsequently succumbed to his wounds.

Witnesses reported a blue sedan leaving the scene with two additional occupants. No suspects were identified at the time, and the case remains unsolved.
