Cory Bideyma Roblero-Ortiz, a 15-year-old Hispanic female, was last seen near Sasabe, Arizona, on July 11, 2019. She is 5 feet tall, about 105 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, and was wearing a camouflage shirt and dark pants when she disappeared after crossing into the United States near the Sasabe port of entry.
After crossing, Cory was with a guide who gave her a cellphone and told her to make her own way to Tucson, more than 60 miles to the northeast through the Sonoran Desert. That instruction was the last known contact; she was never located. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department was notified on July 21, 2019, and searches by the sheriff’s office and the U.S. Border Patrol found no sign of her.
The case centers on a teenager left to travel alone across remote, hazardous terrain with no subsequent confirmed sightings. Anyone with information about Cory’s movements around Sasabe on or after July 11, 2019, is asked to come forward.
