Jeremy Silvey, 35, was found with a gunshot wound to the head in the driver’s seat of his girlfriend’s car in the Lynn Wood Village Apartments parking lot in Anderson, Indiana, in the late hours of September 8, 2016. He was taken to a hospital and died the next day, September 9, 2016.
Anderson police opened a homicide investigation and identified 26-year-old Nicolas S. Gray of Anderson as a suspect. Investigators say the shooting occurred during a drug transaction. Gray was arrested at his home without incident shortly after Silvey’s death and was later charged with murder.
At trial a jury convicted Gray of murder, obstruction of justice and attempted dealing in marijuana. In November 2018 Madison Circuit Court I Judge Angela Warner Sims sentenced Gray to 98 years in prison, with the judge noting Gray’s extensive criminal history as an aggravating factor. Have any readers from Anderson remembered the area or seen anything relevant around the Lynn Wood Village Apartments in September 2016?
