A February 10, 2016 gunfight in Richmond, Indiana, left two men dead. Charles Atkinson, a White resident of Neosho, Missouri, and 46-year-old Richmond resident Virgus Browning Jr. were in separate cars when witnesses say both men opened fire on one another in the 1800 block of Industries Road, near a former Coca-Cola facility. Officers arrived about 9:15 p.m. after reports of gunfire and found both men struck by bullets; Atkinson was pronounced dead at the scene and Browning was taken to Reid Hospital, where he later died.
Police secured the scene and interviewed witnesses. No additional shooters were sought; investigators concluded the two deceased men were the only shooters involved. A 40-year-old Dayton, Ohio woman, Lori Clark, was arrested at the scene on a drug possession charge but was not linked to the shootings. Does anyone have information about what led to the confrontation that night?
