In the early morning hours of September 30, 2015, 34-year-old Miguel Angel Hernandez was fatally shot in the parking lot of the Four Seasons Restaurant in Greenwood, Indiana. Hernandez, a cook who had arrived for his shift around 6:15 a.m., was ambushed next to his car as the restaurant opened for breakfast; witnesses heard multiple gunshots and found him gravely wounded.

Investigators traced the killing to a personal dispute. Hernandez’s wife told police he had been involved in an affair with another man’s wife, which led them to 37-year-old Candelario Cruz‑Trujillo of Indianapolis. Cruz‑Trujillo was arrested the day after the shooting and, during questioning, confessed that he confronted Hernandez and shot him three times — two shots to the body, one severing the spine, and a final shot to the head.

A jury found Candelario Cruz‑Trujillo guilty at trial. In November 2016 he received a 56-year prison sentence, with the court noting Cruz‑Trujillo’s criminal history and that he chose violence instead of other options to address the marital dispute.

Does anyone have information about Hernandez’s last hours or witnesses who were at the restaurant that morning?
