William Rogers, 25, was found shot multiple times and dead in the driveway of his Lawrence, Indiana home on the afternoon of Monday, June 1, 2015. A passerby discovered his body in the 5600 block of Cheval Lane. His mother described him as a loving father who enjoyed music and taking trips.

Investigators with the Lawrence Police Department pursued several leads, including a September 2014 incident in which two men reportedly shot at Rogers, but detectives were unable to link that event conclusively to the killing. Officers interviewed friends and a girlfriend and followed up on information in Bloomington without an immediate breakthrough. Surveillance near the scene recorded a silver Chevy Malibu with tinted windows leaving the area around the time of the shooting; police say the vehicle’s occupant or occupants may have key information.

No arrests have been announced and the investigation remains open. If anyone has information about that silver Chevy Malibu or Rogers’ movements on June 1, please come forward.
