Jahi Bell was 28 when he was fatally shot during an armed robbery at his home on Lincoln Avenue in Evansville, Indiana, on December 26, 2005. Three men — Jarvis Brown, Teddy Weems, and Gabriel Jordan — entered the residence intending to rob him; the robbery escalated and Bell was killed during the offense.

Investigators tied Bell’s murder into a broader violent crime spree that stretched between Evansville and Indianapolis. A woman connected to the group, Vanessa Hankins, was questioned after her vehicle was found near Bell’s home; she was murdered in Indianapolis shortly after that interview, which authorities believed was intended to silence her. Federal prosecutors later indicted Brown, Jordan, and Weems for their roles in the multi-jurisdictional crimes. The indictment named Jarvis Brown as the shooter in Bell’s slaying and charged the trio in a series of robberies and killings handled in the Southern District of Indiana.

If anyone knew Jahi Bell, his routines, or observed suspicious activity around Lincoln Avenue on or before December 26, 2005, please share what was seen.
