I knew Aaron - we were in the same unit at Fort Hood and deployed together during Desert Storm. There was no way he pulled a gun on this kid. I think the kid went over there to rob him. I think that was the kids intention all along. He knew Aaron had money from his pensions and probably thought he would be an easy mark. It\'s really sad that happened and I can\'t really believe it. The last time I talked to him was about 13 years ago. I can definitely attest to everything they said about him. He... ...View Post & Comment
It is a terrible way to end a human life. No matter the circumstances, loss through violence leaves wounds that never fully heal. What makes this tragedy even harder is that many in the community never knew the full history of the man whose life ended that early morning.... ...View Post & Comment

Hi everyone,I've been following the case of Ashley Minatel and something that's really been on my mind is the location where this all happened. Peoga Road is not exactly bustling with activity, right? For an area that's usually so quiet, it's hard to grasp how something this terrible could occur without more people taking notice. I just keep thinking about how isolated that road is—did anyone hear something but dismiss it, thinking it was something else? And then, there's the part about the 35-... ...View Post & Comment
Hi I was a good friend of hers and I too have always been disturbed that Mike, Ashleys boyfriend at the time and father to their child has never been charged with anything at all. In fact he was never even brought back in for questioning after the initial night they took him in for questioning after the incident happened. So many things are wrong with how he says this happened and no one believes it him that was close to her or even some that knew him and were friends with him at the time. He ha... ...View Post & Comment
I came across Kristi Kay Payne Chavez's case while doing some research, and my heart goes out to her family. It's so unsettling that there seems to be a lack of information on what actually happened. While I'm writing this, I can't help but think about her kids, Kayli and Louis. Losing a mom at such a young age must be incredibly tough, and I hope they have a strong support system around them. I'm curious if anyone here has heard anything more about the investigation or if there's been any devel... ...View Post & Comment

I can’t stop thinking about the courage it must have taken for Raymond Curly’s family to go through all this. Losing a loved one in such a horrific manner is beyond comprehension. I'm particularly struck by how young Raymond was—just 23. It's absolutely devastating to have someone’s life cut short before it even really began. I really hope his family eventually found some peace or solace after Barber’s arrest and conviction. It's crucial that we keep discussing these cases so we can le... ...View Post & Comment
If you have the time, read my post above. Raymond’s description on some of these websites is incorrect. Raymond was 40 when he was killed and he was white. Raymond Curlee (not Curley) was my uncle. In 1978 he was a gentle giant that had an upholstery shop on the north side service road of I-30 in far east Dallas. The night he was killed, he had stayed late to finish a project. As it got late, he decided to rest on a cot he kept in the back room of the store. As he slept, Barber was walking along the service road in front of Raymond’s shop when he noticed light shining through the front window. Barber realized it was a soda machine and decided to ... ...View Post & Comment
To sum up, first, we were not staying there. He was not a roommate. We went over to stay the night at my mom’s house. He ended up. Punching a 14-year-old girl over the dishes that I was doing because I was pregnant and contracting mind you I was 16 years old. He was 22. We had an extremely tough relationship because he was extremely abusive and had a horrible addiction to methamphetamines constantly being beaten. At the same time, I was pregnant with his child my brother has intellectual disor... ...View Post & Comment
Does anyone else think there might be more to this story than what’s been reported so far? I just can't wrap my head around what could possibly have caused such a drastic turn of events between roommates. From what I’ve read about Nikolai “Beefy Hunnid,” he seemed like such a spirited and kind-hearted person. It’s tough seeing someone with such a promising future and passion for life go like this. I guess we'll need to wait for more information to come out, but my thoughts are with Nik... ...View Post & Comment
I've been following this case closely, and something that keeps coming up for me is how Nikolai was an up-and-coming musician. I never had the chance to listen to his music before, but I recently found some tracks he posted online. It's truly a loss of potential talent. You could hear the passion in his work, and it's devastating to think of how his life was cut short just as he was starting to find his voice. The whole community is left wondering what could have been, and my heart goes out to h... ...View Post & Comment
I knew Devan as a co-worker/friend. He was truly a beautiful human being. He would help anybody. He would feed the homeless, help the elderly with anything, and you could also count on him for a great laugh every time you encountered him. Let alone a very handsome, respectful, respectable, humble guy. He also was the type that would stand up for others and for what was right. I was devastated when I found out someone took such a beautiful soul away from this Earth. It made me wonder was it someo... ...View Post & Comment
Hey everyone,I've been thinking a lot about Shawn David Mullins, known to many as "Bossman." I didn't know him personally, but I've seen just how deeply his passing has affected the Danville community. I've heard from friends who shared memories of his humor and kindness, and it's clear that his loss is felt profoundly by those who knew him.Something that's been really striking for me is how little information has come out about the case since it happened. Hi everyone,I've been following the case of Detrick Terry, and I can't help but feel deeply for his family and loved ones who are still left without answers. It's so distressing to see how gun violence affects young individuals like Detrick and how these tragedies linger in the memories of those who cared about him. Hi all,I just can't stop thinking about the courage of Ronald Kortz II. It's truly unfathomable to imagine being caught in such a terrifying situation and still trying to help a friend. Despite suffering critical injuries himself, Kortz tried to intervene in that horrific moment, and that speaks volumes about his character. It's a reminder of the selflessness and bravery we sometimes find in the worst of circumstances. Has anyone else been struck by the lack of detailed information on Kathleen Naughton's case? I've been following the disappearance of Hanley, and something that's been bugging me is the route he might have taken to get to Dana Point. Does anyone know if there were any reported road closures or unusual traffic conditions on that night? His car was seen on Ortega Highway heading out to Riverside County early in the morning and then seen coming back. His car was at his house the next morning with the key and garage remote on his driver\'s seat. Not sure if you\'ve seen the charges he incurred back in December of 2024. Might have led to this. I've been following Donyelle Moore's case since it first happened, and something that strikes me every time I think about it is the impact of ongoing violence in New Orleans despite the city's efforts to curb it. I was reading about Donyelle Moore's case and it got me thinking about the impact on families who are left without answers. It's truly distressing that despite all the efforts and programs in place like "NOLA for Life," so many families still wait for justice, unsure of what happened to their loved ones. I came across an article discussing the Harmon brothers' case and something caught my attention—how quickly Marquise Jones was apprehended across the country in San Jose. It makes me wonder about the effectiveness of police collaboration between states.
