In the early morning hours of June 18, 2021, a sequence of tragic events unfolded on Bellefontaine Road in St. Louis County, culminating in the death of 29-year-old Johnesia Murry. Police initially responded to what appeared to be a single-vehicle accident around 5:10 a.m. a car had veered off the road and struck a utility pole. Inside the vehicle, they discovered Ms. Murry, who had sustained at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
