In the early morning hours of Sunday, May 2, 2021, a violent incident unfolded in the College Hill neighborhood of North St. Louis, Missouri, claiming the life of 25-year-old Geniece L. Johnson. Officers from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department were summoned to the 2000 block of Obear Avenue shortly before 12:30 a.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, first responders discovered Johnson and a 25-year-old male inside a vehicle, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
