On February 15, 2021, nineteen-year-old Jakob Cole was fatally shot in a residential area southwest of Columbia, Missouri. The incident occurred in the evening within the 4700 block of West Millbrook Drive, where officers from the Boone County Sheriff’s Department responded to reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, deputies discovered Cole suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital for emergency treatment but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
