On August 8, 2020, twenty-nine-year-old Babacar Dia was driving a white Volkswagen Tiguan through the streets of Saint Louis, Missouri, when his journey was violently interrupted. While traveling in the Wellston area, the vehicle came under fire from assailants armed with a high-powered rifle.
