In the late hours of a Monday night in Saint Louis, Missouri, the life of 28-year-old Xavien Brooks was tragically cut short. On July 27, 2020, gunfire erupted near the intersection of Temple Place and Page Boulevard, on the border of the Hamilton Heights and West End neighborhoods. When the sound of the shots faded, Brooks had been fatally wounded, and a woman who was with him had been injured.
