In the quiet moments just after midnight on January 28, 2020, the life of 16-year-old Miguel-Angel C. Padilla was tragically cut short in the Northeast neighborhood of Kansas City, Missouri. A tenth grader at Northeast High School, he was known for his love of the Kansas City Royals and the Oakland Raiders, and for his enjoyment of video games. His passing left a void in the lives of his family and friends, who remembered him as a kind person with a big heart.
