On December 23, 2019, Destiny Gray, a 20-year-old Black female, was found shot to death in the Penrose neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri. Police officers responded to a call early that Monday morning, arriving at the 4000 block of Cora Avenue shortly after midnight. Upon arrival, they discovered Gray on the front porch of a residence suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso. Emergency responders pronounced her dead at the scene.
