On the evening of December 26, 2018, Roshon Sykes, an 18-year-old male, was driving northbound on Halls Ferry Road in St. Louis County, Missouri. As he drove, a suspect or suspects in another vehicle opened fire on his car. Struck by at least one gunshot, Sykes lost control of his vehicle, which then went over a curb and came to a stop near the intersection of Chambers Road and Halls Ferry.
