On the afternoon of November 21, 2018, police officers in Saint Louis, Missouri, were dispatched to the downtown area following reports of a shooting. Upon arriving at the 1500 block of Locust Street in the Downtown West neighborhood around 3:25 p.m., first responders discovered a 27-year-old male, Brandon Knighten, unconscious and not breathing inside a vehicle.
