On the afternoon of October 2, 2018, violence erupted at a busy intersection in Kansas City, Missouri, leaving two men dead. Police were dispatched around 3:45 p.m. to the BP gas station located near 31st Street and Van Brunt Boulevard after reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of 18-year-old male Tyler Nichaud Johnson in the parking lot. He had sustained fatal gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
