On the evening of July 23, 2018, 18-year-old Antonio Jones was fatally shot in Kansas City, Missouri. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. in the 3800 block of East 59th Street, near Swope Parkway. Jones was sitting inside his sister's vehicle when he was struck by gunfire. Police officers responding to the scene discovered the wounded teenager and rushed him to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
