In the early hours of a Wednesday morning in July 2017, the life of 19-year-old Ivory Newbern was tragically cut short. Police responded to a call of a shooting near the Martin Luther King Bridge in downtown St. Louis at approximately 1:30 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Newbern inside a vehicle, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
