On the evening of April 2, 2015, a violent shooting incident occurred in the north side of St. Louis, Missouri, claiming the life of 37-year-old Leron Johnson. Around 8:22 p.m., police officers were dispatched to the 5000 block of Cates Avenue following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they discovered Johnson suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest. He was immediately transported to a local hospital for emergency treatment but ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
