On December 3, 2007, a tragic domestic violence incident occurred in Jackson, Missouri, claiming the life of 16-year-old male Michael Reed Jeffers. The sequence of events began when Michael's mother, Katherine Moshiri, attempted to separate from her husband and Michael's stepfather, Mir Shahin Moshiri.
