In the summer of 2022, a violent incident in Aiken, South Carolina, resulted in the tragic death of 16-year-old Cameron Carroll, a Black male, along with two other teenagers. The shooting occurred on the afternoon of Sunday, June 26, in the front yard of a residence on Wadley Drive. When deputies from the Aiken County Sheriff's Office arrived at the scene around 1:30 p.m., they discovered three male teenagers with gunshot wounds.
