On November 6, 2021, the Dovesville Community of Darlington, South Carolina, was shaken by a violent incident that claimed the life of a young local resident. James Lamont Bishop, a 20-year-old Black male, was the victim of a deadly shooting that occurred in Darlington County. Deputies from the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the discharge of firearms that ultimately led to the untimely death of the young man.
