On the evening of July 8, 2019, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace outside a recording studio on Cane Run Road in Louisville, Kentucky, ending the life of 27-year-old Brian Lamont Owsley Jr. A Black male, Owsley was found by responding officers suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but his injuries proved to be too severe, and he was pronounced dead.
