On November 12, 2016, Christopher Jearell Goldsmith, a 32-year-old man, was spending time at a friend's home on Camp Street, near Shelby Park. While sitting on the porch, a car was seen circling the block at a slow pace. Shortly after, in a brazen act of violence, shots were fired from the vehicle, striking Goldsmith multiple times.
