In the winter of 2011, the community of Aiken, South Carolina, was shaken by the loss of one of its own. Master Public Safety Officer Edward Scott 'Scotty' Richardson, a 33-year-old male, died from gunshot wounds sustained during a traffic stop on the evening of Tuesday, December 20, 2011.
