In the summer of 2022, a dispute in southwest Baltimore turned deadly, claiming the life of 56-year-old Bernard Jackson II. On the late Saturday night of June 11, or the early moments of Sunday, June 12, officers were called to the 3600 block of West Lexington Street for a reported shooting. Upon arrival just before midnight, they discovered Jackson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene. He was a Black male.
