On the evening of March 4, 2022, a sense of normalcy in Wheaton, Maryland was shattered by an act of violence that claimed the life of 17-year-old Devin Dickey of Silver Spring. The male teenager, who was Black/African American, was in the vicinity of Georgia Avenue and Reedie Drive at approximately 6:45 p.m. when he was shot.
