On a tragic Saturday afternoon, December 11, 2021, the life of 41-year-old Tara Labang, an Asian woman of Filipino and Hawaiian descent, was cut short in a devastating act of violence. Labang, a dedicated Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital, was found deceased in her Federal Hill home on Marshall Street in Baltimore. Police, responding to an alarm at her residence, discovered signs of forced entry and found Labang suffering from fatal gunshot wounds.
