In the winter of 2021, a young Black man named Amir Whyee, 21, was fatally shot in Southwest Baltimore. The incident took place on the afternoon of December 1st, in the 500 block of Random Road. Responding to a report of a shooting, police found Whyee suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
