In the late afternoon of a summer day in Fort Washington, Maryland, tragedy struck a young family. On Tuesday, July 27, 2021, 22-year-old Johnathan Legrant of Temple Hills was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the 400 block of Bentwood Drive. Officers responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 4:05 p.m. and discovered Legrant outside. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he died a short time later.
