In what began as an online sale of a cellphone, 22-year-old Montez Case of Columbia, Maryland, was fatally shot in a tragic turn of events. On June 11, 2021, Case had arranged to meet two individuals near a convenience store on Hickory Ridge Road to complete the transaction. However, the arranged meeting took a violent turn when the two suspects attempted to rob him.
