On the afternoon of April 15, 2021, a burst of gunfire in a parking lot in Temple Hills, Maryland, cut short the life of 18-year-old Tyreke Williams. A male hailing from Virginia, Williams was in the 4200 block of 28th Avenue at approximately 4:15 p.m. when the shooting occurred. Prince George's County police officers responded to reports of the shooting and found Williams in the parking lot, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
