On a summer evening in Baltimore, a violent encounter set in motion a tragedy that would take over a year to reach its somber conclusion. Marvin Dessaure Jr., a 34-year-old male, was discovered severely beaten on the 1800 block of Aisquith Street on the night of August 21, 2019. The assault was brutal, causing Dessaure to fall and strike his head on the pavement, which resulted in catastrophic head trauma. He was rushed to Johns Hopkins Hospital for treatment of his grievous injuries.
