In the early morning hours of December 15, 2020, the life of 22-year-old Denzel Shabazz Jones, an African-American male, was cut short in a burst of violence in Edgewood, Maryland. Deputies from the Harford County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the 1400 block of Hanson Road at approximately 6:07 a.m. following a report of a person with a gunshot wound. Upon their arrival, they discovered Jones's body in the front yard of a residence. He had been fatally shot.
