In the early evening of October 7, 2020, tragedy struck in New Carrollton, Maryland, when 34-year-old Talante Brown was fatally shot. The incident also left another man wounded, though his injuries were not considered life-threatening. Officers from the New Carrollton Police Department responded to a call just before 8 p.m. in the 5400 block of 85th Avenue, where they discovered Brown suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
