In the early morning hours of August 11, 2020, violence shattered the quiet of a South Baltimore neighborhood, claiming the life of 28-year-old Latonio Stewart. A Black female, Stewart was in the 900 block of Peach Street when gunfire erupted at approximately 3:45 a.m. The incident was a double shooting, leaving another woman, aged 44, wounded.
When police arrived at the scene, they found both women suffering from gunshot wounds. Medical personnel pronounced Stewart dead at the location.
