In the early evening of January 5, 2020, tragedy struck in West Baltimore when 18-year-old Deonta Quintine Patterson was fatally shot. The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. on the 2500 block of Edmondson Avenue, a street that became the scene of a somber investigation. When police officers arrived, they found Patterson suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite the immediate response and medical attention, the young man succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital.
