On the final night of 2019, a burst of violence shattered the New Year's Eve celebrations in Halethorpe, Maryland, leaving two people dead and a community in fear. Brea Sade Mitchell, a 23-year-old female, and Antwan Xavier Jones, 25, were discovered by Baltimore County police in the 4100 block of Twin Circle Way with gunshot wounds to their upper bodies. The call to authorities came in around 9:30 p.m., and upon their arrival, both Mitchell and Jones were pronounced dead at the scene.
