A celebrated figure in the Baltimore community, 34-year-old Gerald Brown, was shot and killed on Friday, June 7, 2019. The shooting occurred around 8 p.m. in the 3700 block of West Forest Park Avenue in Northwest Baltimore. Brown was a former basketball standout at Frederick Douglass High School and Loyola University Maryland, and was also known for his work as a comedian under the name 'Geesongz'. He was a father of three.
