In the McElderry Park neighborhood of Baltimore, the night of May 26, 2019, was shattered by an act of violence that claimed the life of 19-year-old Jennifer Velasquez. A Hispanic female, Velasquez was with a 23-year-old man in the 500 block of North Montford Avenue when gunfire erupted around 10:30 p.m.
