In the summer of 2018, a bright and promising life was tragically cut short in a senseless act of violence. Seven-year-old Taylor Hayes, a young girl from Baltimore, Maryland, was caught in the crossfire of a shootout on July 5th. While sitting in the back of a Honda Accord, driven by a friend of her mother's, a bullet struck her in the back. For two weeks, she fought valiantly for her life at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, but ultimately succumbed to her injuries on July 19th.
