In the quiet farming community of Sharpsburg, Maryland, the tranquility was shattered in early May of 2018 with the discovery of a beloved elderly woman and her son, both victims of a brutal act of violence in their own home. Evelyn Rowland, an 83-year-old female, who had dedicated 37 years to working at the Washington County Hospital before retiring, was found deceased in her residence on Shepherdstown Pike.
