In the spring of 2018, a confrontation in Lexington Park, Maryland, ended in the death of 29-year-old Britain Jeremy Gill. On the evening of April 18th, deputies from the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office were called to a residence on Liberty Street for a reported shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Gill suffering from a shotgun wound to his upper body.
