In the early morning hours of Friday, March 2, 2018, a discovery was made in the 200 block of Brock Bridge Road in Laurel, Maryland, that would forever alter the lives of one family. At approximately 7:15 a.m., Anne Arundel County Police were dispatched to the area for a report of an injured person. Upon their arrival, they found a young man who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, identified as 22-year-old Jose Alberto Funes, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
