In the evening hours of September 2, 2017, in Baltimore, Maryland, a burst of gunfire shattered the late summer calm in the 1200 block of East Lafayette Avenue. When the sounds of the shots faded, two individuals were found suffering from gunshot wounds in what police would later describe as a double shooting.
