On the afternoon of May 8, 2017, a 25-year-old Black / African American man named Dandre Johnson was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the 2400 block of Edmondson Avenue in Baltimore, Maryland. The discovery was made at approximately 4:30 p.m., a time when the day was still bright, yet a shadow had fallen over this city block. Johnson was rushed to a local hospital in a desperate attempt to save his life, but his injuries proved to be too severe, and he was pronounced dead.
