On a cold January evening, the life of 26-year-old Takeisha Hughes-Coats of Washington, D.C. was tragically cut short. On January 15, 2017, her body was discovered in a parking lot of an apartment complex in Hillcrest Heights, Maryland. She had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
