In the early hours of a Friday morning in Essex, Maryland, a knock at the door tragically altered the course of a young man's life. It was November 11, 2016, when 19-year-old Breon Markeith Baglin, a male resident of Baltimore, answered a summons at his home on Seagate Court. At approximately 1:05 a.m., upon opening the door, he was immediately met with gunfire and was shot at least once in his upper body. The violence of that moment proved fatal, and Breon was pronounced dead at the scene.
